Course Content
  • Health & Safety at Work Act (Sec 2,3,7,8 & 37)
  • Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations (Regulations 3 & 4)
  • Risk Assessment hazard and risk (practical exercise)
  • Safe Working Procedures
  • Working at Height (selection and use of access equipment ladders, pop ups tower platforms and cherry pickers)
  • Control of Asbestos at Work (asbestos register identifying asbestos and action required if found)
  • Electricity at Work Regulations (PAT testing)
  • COSHH (use of solvents and exposure to other hazards such as dust)
  • Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations (Ladders, tools vehicles etc)
  • Personal Protective Equipment (selection and use)
  • Noise & Vibration
  • First aid at Work ( handout and discussion)
  • Fire Reform Act (fire precautions to be established on site)
  • Manual handling
